The purpose of this project was to design and produce an eye‐catching poster to promote the popular TV series "The Walking Dead" broadcast on AMC. Working with a multitude of high‐resolution images of each cast member, a prison scene, and a menacing sky, David skillfully combined these individual images into one riveting collage. David has a lot of experience using Adobe Photoshop, a very powerful and useful photo editing tool used by professional graphic designers, and David used this program to create his poster. David featured the main character of the series to create a central focus for the design and lined up smaller figures of the complete cast below to frame the bottom. This gives the design a strong base which leads the viewer's eyes towards the AMC logo. The colours of each image were individually adjusted to achieve the sepia mood and overall colour harmony. A rough concrete image was used as a textured background within "The Walking Dead" headline. The blur and film grain filters were used on the prison image to create depth, an effect which helps to push the cast members into the foreground and towards the viewer. David has successfully achieved the goals and parameters for this TV series promotional poster.
