Saint Lawrence website

David was asked to design a custom website, guided by the client's business goals and objectives, to promote The Saint Lawrence as New Orleans Finest French-Cajun Fusion cuisine in the French Quarter. After careful research of the local competition, David compiled a competitive analysis and distilled the data into a strategy, forming a logical structure for the website through detailed site maps and wireframes. David integrated the client's wish list, sourced and optimized images with Adobe Photoshop, wrote new text content, and created icons and logos using Adobe Illustrator. David's warm and welcoming color scheme is an inspired palette derived from the blended spices found in Cajun Spice, a main ingredient in all delicious Cajun cuisine. Notable features of the website are the mouth-watering video landing page and convenient reservation button, animated interactive features, easy-to-browse and engaging brunch, lunch, dinner, dessert, wine and beer menus, video tour, and convenient gift cards. David also authored all of the website's coding by hand. His contemporary website design is elegant, easy to navigate as well as interactive, responsive, mobile-friendly, and successfully satisfies all of the client's business goals and objectives.

Saint Lawrence Logo

In conjunction with the website, the client asked David to design a new logo for The Saint Lawrence. The typography in David's design, a well-conceived combination of fonts, conveys a feeling of elegance and sophistication for this Cajun-French Fusion inspired eatery. The logo text is set against the French fleur de lis symbol, formerly known as the royal arms of France and symbolizes the historic French heritage of New Orleans. The colors of the logo and the website were inspired and derived from the blend of spices which compose Cajun spice, — appropriate since it's an important ingredient in many Cajun-French Fusion dishes and the rusty reds, oranges and warm grays are colours that traditionally exemplify grilling and barbequing. Furthermore, it is said that the name "The Saint Lawrence" has its' origins from the Roman Catholic Patron Saint Of Grilling, Cooks, and Chefs, — an auspicious name and title for this restaurant. David's logo design and colour scheme completely satisfies the client's goals and objectives for their website and clearly identifies The Saint Lawrence as New Orleans' Finest Cajun-French Fusion.
